Electric bikes At the Pedal Shed we make an attempt to listen to our clients even if it means getting out of our comfort zones and yes, the e-bike idea is one of those. After a request from one of our clients we embarked on a journey gathering a better understanding about the value, benefits and pitfalls of e-bikes. We discovered that e-bikes provides a great opportunity for people over the age of 60 to get healthy and have an active lifestyle well into their 90s. We started off with our conventional providers GPI Apollo and PSI trading and also discovered suppliers that focus on e-bikes only in Ride Electric and Rilu trading. The latter are suppliers with proper workshop capabilities and facilities as well in house technical support we need as well as a full 2 year warranty. The range consists of everyday commuters, rail trail bikes to more serious bike packing and off road full suspension. We have sufficient stock on our floor with 2 demo bikes that can be booked out for a day to test ride.
