Bike evolution
We all often find ourselves in the position where the bike we have is a good bike but there are a few things that has become an irritation to the point where we loose our motivation to ride or we have accumulated a few injuries that just makes riding uncomfortable. Alternatively we look at new bikes but cannot justify replacing a bike that is in good working order. A good alternative is to have a fresh look at what you have and then address the problem areas with improved gear ratios and adding a few extra gears or look at wheels that can provide a more comfortable ride or better grip. Changing your positioning on a bike can drastically improve your riding experience and when you look at our suspension seat post and head stem your bike will suddenly be just what you wanted.
We have been installing the Kinekt seat post and head stem on all types of bikes. The combination provides the user with riding comfort and performance for long distance riding on rough terrain. It eliminates continuous jarring that causes muscle fatigue and joint pain on a long ride. Even on road bikes this can be a game changes. Recently voted as the best solutions on the market we can testify of it’s value and benefits. Both products can be set up for different weight requirements and is fulle serviceable, something we are geared up to do.
We also provide specialised saddles designed to provide support on the bone structure of our bodies and not on the soft tissue. The Selle SMP range is hand made in Italy since 1947 with a unique ergonomic design that will address most problems relating to seating discomfort. As a prostate cancer rider I know all about this kind of frustrating problems going through numerous saddles before I found this solution. Then all we want is a bit of bling and combining it with improved performance that looks good is a plus that rekindles that love affair with your bike.
Building Fat bikes
At the Pedal Shed we have been building Fat Bikes for over 5 years. Fat bikes introduced us to off road exploration of the Outback and other parts of Australia like no other bike, because it will go where no other bike can go. Getting a good Fat bike had become a real problem so we established a working relationship with Borealis Fat Bikes in Colorado Springs. These bikes are high-end with all the top specked products but the real difference is in the frame. The power transfer is extremely efficient making this bike one of the lightest bikes in the Country. The history of their bikes speaks for it self sponsoring the Worlds Fat Bike competition annually as well as several extreme exploration journeys. We are proud to bring such a brand to Australia and make a new home for Borealis Fat Bikes. Have a look at www.fatbike.com and if your are interested send us via email.
Put a motor on that bike!
Although we offer a wide range of E bikes, there are some situations that requires a custom build. With clients that is of a large build requiring a strong bike and powerful motor we build Fat wheel bikes with enough power to enjoy a few fire tracks but also provide the ability to exercise and get a good workout.
